Streaming Stars, Then and Now

Darice loves to have a career where no day is ever the same and so she chose Entertainment. Her varied experiences keep her challenged and excited about the next project. She began at Boston's CBS affiliate, WNAC-TV, WNEV-TV where she learned her craft from the ground up. Rollins became a bonafide producer, with talk shows, game shows, variety and documentaries under her belt, working with David Brudnoy, renowned theatre critic turned talk show host; Alan Dershowitz the host for Prime Concern, Kitty Dukakis who co-hosted a lifestyle show and LOOK magazine among the many shows that she was involved in producing. After a major blizzard, Rollins chased the sun to Los Angeles, California, in search of her smile and new opportunities, She completed brief stints in reality programming, and national talk shows rounding out her already seasoned dossier. Eventually, Rollins ended up at Lorimar Studios a new babe in the hottest studio in town at the time. This led to work on her first sitcom with Redd Foxx, which led to other sitcoms under the tutelage of Ed. Weinberger, who would buy her first sitcom script (Amen) (NBC) and start her on the path as a sitcom writer. Rollins continued to climb to other sitcoms including Royal Family, Dear John, Mr. President, Honor Bound, Baby Talk, Sparks, Good News, Man In the Family and more.. Rollins learned to handle herself in some of the toughest writing rooms in Hollywood and was contacted by the EP of Fox's new sitcom "Martin". Rollins took the job and went on to sell numerous scripts on the series. At the end of the series, Martin Lawrence asked Rollins to work as Director of Development of his production company, Runteldat Entertainment, which she did for many years, Rollins' experience grew when ML brought her onto the film set as his E.A, on Bad Boys 2 and then as A. P. on several of his blockbuster films that followed including Big Momma's House 2 and Like Father Like Son (BM- 3), College Road Trip, Wild Hogs, Rebound, Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins, Animated Film and TV pilot - Open Season (Sony) and L'il Shorty (MTV); TV Show (EP) Martin Lawrence Presents First Amendment Standup. Rollins also taught comedy comedy writing for several semesters at UCLA. Most recently, Rollins created a show along with Firecracker Films called "Preacher's Wives" which aired on Lifetime in 2013, A force to be reckoned with, Darice Rollins is the real deal in the industry.
