- Gertrud Roll was born on March 17, 1936 in Heidelberg, Germany. She is an actress, known for Parapsycho - Spektrum der Angst (1975), Die Unzertrennlichen (1997) and Tod eines Handlungsreisenden (2001).
- Classically trained theatre and screen actress. Roll grew up in Colmar and Freiburg im Breisgau and attended the drama school in Stuttgart after graduating from high school. From 1957 to 1960, she acted on stage in Stuttgart at the Komödie im Marquardt. From 1960 to 1969, she was engaged at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, the Saarländisches Staatstheater Saarbrücken and the Städtische Bühnen Freiburg, among others.
- Won the Austrian Nestroy Prize as Best Supporting Actress in 2006 for her role as a countess in the play 'Bei Einbruch der Dunkelheit'.
