Biography

Joseph Römer was born on September 12, 1889 in Berlin, Germany. He was an actor and director, known for Unverstanden - Die Tragödie eines Kindes (1915), Bubi muß Geld verdienen (1916) and Bubi als Heiratsvermittler (1916). He died in January 1945 in Lodz, Poland.

The actor Josef Roemer conquered the still young film-going public with his film figure "Bubi" from 1915. He impersonated this figure in more than a dozen movies.

At the beginning of the 20s followed his last cinematical works.

Besides his activity as an actor Josef Roemer also realised a movie as a director in 1920.
