Biography

José Rodriguez-Soltero was born in 1943 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He was a director and cinematographer, known for Lupe (1966), Dialogue with Che (1968) and Jerovi (1965). He died on May 22, 2009 in New York City, New York, USA.

Studied at the University of Puerto Rico, at the Sorbonne, in Paris, and later on at San Francisco State University.

Made newsreels with the Puerto Rican collective Young Lords and some video for the United Nations Committee on De-Colonization.
