- Actor-Comedian-Producer Nestor Rodriguez was born and raised in New York City. Growing up, Nestor’s unorthodox way of looking at life made him a regular in the Dean’s office and eventually earned him his own personal stint at boarding school.
Nestor co-produced the Sundance Film Festival’s Acts of Worship, nominated for the John Cassavetes Independent Spirit Award for Best Feature, that also received a glowing NY Times review.
Along with Fred Roos and Arthur Sarkissian, Nestor executive produced the feature "Silver Skies," starring George Hamilton, Valerie Perrine, Jack McGee. Winner of the FLIFF Audience Award and Manhattan Film Fest Best Feature.
Nestor was the winner of KTLA’s "Find Me A Comic!" competition, in association with the Jon Lovitz Comedy Club, Nestor opened for Jon Lovitz; and, performed at the Jon Lovitz 1-year anniversary show taping, along with other notable comedians, including Judy Tenuda.
Some of Nestor’s most recent credits include John Kim’s feature Reunion; Showtime’s Your Honor; Amazon’s It’s Not Like That; as well as hosting gigs on HGTV’s The Fix; and TV Guide Television. He’s performed comedy on Showtime’s "Look,"SiTv’s Latino 101 series, and Starz in Black’s Staan-Dup comedy series.
Other TV roles include: Law & Order:SVU; Grounded, Pure Genius; Pregnancy Pact. On ER, he played the role of Johnny, the injured and annoyed Latino (which wasn’t really much of a stretch); the Anti-Semitic Bear (which actually was a stretch) on The Good Wife.
Named "New and Noteworthy" on Itunes, he produced the weekly podcast series Nestorious Public Radio.
Most recently, Nestor is producing the feature Gated, along with Rick Telles (A Million Miles Awar), written and directed by Rosemary Rodriguez.
