Biography

Lisa's outstanding work as a picture editor has attracted a slate of nominations and awards including Daytime Emmys, Leo Awards, and a Cinema Writers Circle Award. Lisa is particularly known for her work on American Dreamer, Firefly Lane, My Life Without Me, The L Word, R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour, and Continuum.

[on being nominated for an editing Emmy for 'The Haunting Hour'] I think any nomination is a validation. There's an old saying that a script is written three times: once on paper, once on the set, and again in editing. So it's really a nice nod.

[on the work of a film editor] We cut by performance. We try to find the best performance that tells the story, and the next performance, and the next performance. And the shots. A wide shot might say more than the close-up on a particular line of dialogue, or no lines of dialogue.
