- Norman Robinson was born on September 6, 1936 in South Africa. He was an actor, known for Kill and Kill Again (1981), Karate Killer (1976) and Gemini (1980). He died on July 31, 2025 in South Africa.
- South African master of Shotokan karate. He and Stan Schmidt were the first practitioners of Shotokan karate in South Africa and they instigated the establishment of the South African branch of the Japan Karate Association (JKA) in 1965.
