Biography

Henry Morton Robinson was born on September 7, 1898 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Henry Morton was a writer, known for The Cardinal (1963) and Americana (1981). Henry Morton was married to Gertrude Robinson. Henry Morton died on January 13, 1961 in New York City, New York, USA.

On December 23, 1960, he fell asleep in a hot bath after taking a sedative. Three weeks later, on January 13, 1961, he died in New York of complications from the resulting second and third-degree burns. He is buried in Artists Cemetery, Woodstock, Ulster County, New York.

He was an instructor in English at Columbia University, and a senior editor at Reader's Digest.

Graduated from Columbia College in 1923.

His son, Anthony Robinson, is also a noted novelist.

Served in the US Navy during World War I.
