Biography

Co-wrote a song entitled "Never Love Again" with Donny Brown of the band The Verve Pipe and Taylor Hanson of the band Hanson, in 2001. The song was recorded by them for their upcoming album, but was cut from the album during post-production.

Raised in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada.

Has three children, Hannah (b. 17 November 1995), Lyle (b 29 September 1999), and Arden with wife Natalie.

[on the career of 'Barenaked Ladies'] We never set out to be different or to be consciously other than what we've already done. Certainly you want to into new places and try other things, but ultimately I just think we are trying to serve the songs and be entertaining live, and make music that we would want to hear.

What I have come to understand is that the more personal and more specific I am emotionally and lyrically, the more people seem to relate to what I'm saying.
