Pennant Roberts was born on 15 December 1940 in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, England, UK. He was a director and producer, known for The Sherman Plays (1993), The Snow Spider (1988) and Blake's 7 (1978). He was married to Betsan Jones. He died on 22 June 2010 in the UK.

He was the only person to direct episodes of <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/title/tt0056751/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Doctor Who (1963)</a> in both the 1970s and the 1980s.
