- In June 1987, he announced that he has raised the dead and will return after his own death to rule alongside Jesus Christ.
- In March 1986, he claimed God told him that he would be "called home" (die) if he was unable to raise $8 million by 31 March 1987 to continue his ministry. After the deadline passed, he stated on 1 April that the money had been raised and his life had been spared.
