Biography

Mark Roberts is a veteran Film and Television producer with over three decades in the entertainment industry. As a first-generation Mexican American, he brings a unique and passionate commitment to diverse storytelling to all his projects.

Roberts' recent work includes the Netflix film "Meet Me Next Christmas," starring Christina Milian and the a cappella group Pentatonix. Released in November 2024, the film was a significant success, quickly climbing to #1 globally on Netflix.

His prolific collaboration with Mario Lopez and ViaMar Productions has resulted in a string of successful Lifetime Television films, including "Feliz NaviDAD," "Holiday in Santa Fe," and "Steppin' into the Holiday." Roberts' recent notable works also include the compelling Netflix documentary "Carlos Almaraz / Playing with Fire," which explores the life of the influential painter/activist, and the Amazon true crime movie "Love and Betrayal on the Force."

Roberts' impressive film credits extend to "Water and Power," a critically acclaimed adaptation of the Mark Taper Forum theatrical production by writer-director Richard Montoya of Culture Clash. A seasoned presence at the Sundance Film Festival, he also produced "Strangers With Candy the Movie," an official Sundance selection executive produced by David Letterman, featuring Stephen Colbert, Amy Sedaris, and Paul Dinello.

Looking ahead, Roberts is actively developing "First Born" and "A Christmas Caroline" for Netflix, both written by Molly Halderman. Beyond his production work, Roberts shares his industry insights as the co-host of "Film Hustlers," a popular podcast now in its 5th season. Alongside Rod "Tuddy" Rinks, he delves into the journeys of film and television professionals, offering valuable perspectives from guests such as Antwone Fisher, Caroline Kepnes, Peter Murrieta, and Tommy Harper.
