Doty (1875-1892) and Edith Roberts (September 17, 1899-August 20, 1935). Edith died from sepsis she brought during childbirth with her only child, a son Robert Carrter, at 35.
  • Fourth of five children of hotel manager Wallace Walkin Doty (August 1843-February 13, 1919) and his wife Eudora Evelyn Doty (nee Torrey; May 1845-March 21, 1917).
