Leona Roberts was born on July 26, 1879 in Monroe Center, Ohio, USA. She was an actress, known for Gone with the Wind (1939), Bringing Up Baby (1938) and The Blue Bird (1940). She was married to Walter Beck and Charles James Hutchinson. She died on January 29, 1954 in Santa Monica, California, USA.

American character actress, prolific on Broadway (1926-45). Generally played smaller roles on screen, best known as Mrs. Meade from Gone with the Wind (1939).

Had 2 children with her late ex-first husband Capt. Charles James Hutchinson including actress Josephine Hutchinson (October 12, 1903-June 4, 1998).

Her four siblings are Dora Collota Altom (nee Doty; September 10, 1864-December 4, 1944), Wallace Peter Doty (October 8, 1873-August 11, 1942), Maurice V. Doty (1875-1892) and Edith Roberts (September 17, 1899-August 20, 1935). Edith died from sepsis she brought during childbirth with her only child, a son Robert Carrter, at 35.

Fourth of five children of hotel manager Wallace Walkin Doty (August 1843-February 13, 1919) and his wife Eudora Evelyn Doty (nee Torrey; May 1845-March 21, 1917).
