Angélica Rivera was born on August 2, 1970 in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico. She is an actress, known for Destilando amor (2007), La dueña (1995) and The Mischievous Dreamer (1991). She was previously married to Enrique Peña Nieto and José Alberto Castro.

Was married to Jose Alberto Castro, brother of Mexican artist Veronica Castro.

On July 1, 2012 her husband, Enrique Peña Nieto won the Mexico's presidential election, and as a result he became President-Elect of Mexico. When he was sworn as President on December 1, 2012, Angélica became First Lady of Mexico. The first actress to ever assume this role in Mexico's history.

Sings the song "Para Llegar" on the Alcanzar una Estrella II spinoff CD "Muñecos de Papel". She also sang an unreleased song called "Nada es Tan Fácil".

She had three daughters with former husband Jose Alberto Castro: Sofia (b. 1996), Fernanda (b. 1999) and Regina (b. 2005).
