Auditioned for the role of Dorothy in Return to Oz (1985) as well as Ozma, the part she eventually was cast for, while Fairuza Balk was cast as Dorothy.

Younger sister of actress Joanne Ridley.

Married at 15 to Robert Pereno (of 30 years old). They divorced and she married record producer Philip Ehrlich several years later (who was 20 years older than her), from whom she separated after having a son, Otto Ridley-Ehrlich (born 1996). She had two children with her next husband, David Tyler: son Elim Tyler (born 2000) and daughter Isis Tyler (born 2002).

Emigrated to the USA in 1992, and eventually settled down happily with her 3rd husband on a California ranch.

Celebrated her seventeenth birthday aboard the Tattershall Castle Boat on Hungerford Bridge, Victoria Embankment, in Westminster, London.
