He and Matt Kozlowski were sound designers for William Shakespeare's play, "Hamlet", at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater in Chicago, Illinois with Greg Vinkler in the cast. The crew included Ann Militello (lighting design), Michael Krass (costume designer), and Alaric Jans (original incidental music). Barbara Gaines was director.
He and Matt Kozlowski were awarded the 1997 Joseph Jefferson Award for Sound Design for "Hamlet", at the Rivendell Theatre Ensemble and Powertap Production in Chicago, Illinois.
