Archie Ricks was born on February 29, 1896 in Los Angeles, California, USA. He was an actor and assistant director, known for Where Romance Rides (1925), A Daughter of the Sioux (1925) and The Rip Snorter (1925). He was married to Ethel Marion Jones. He died on January 10, 1962 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

His late wife, Ethel Jones, was the sister of Clarence "Fat" Jones, who ran a well-known livery stable in Hollywood that for many years supplied horses to production companies and movie studios for use in western films.
