Biography

Jeff Richter is an Emmy Award-winning director and editor who has emerged as one of the entertainment industry's most sought-after AI filmmakers, the director networks, brands, and studios turn to when they want generative AI content executed with the story discipline of a thirty-year production veteran. As founder of Beautiful Pictures AI Inc. and VP & Co-Director of AI Content Creation at Stone AI Studios, Richter has directed AI-driven historical reenactments for History Channel programming, branded content, commercials, music videos, and original animated short films, consistently taking projects further than traditional budgets and physics ever allowed.

That authority was earned the traditional way. Richter received a Grammy nomination for Best Short Form Music Video for directing Knoc-turn'al's "The Knoc" featuring Dr. Dre and Missy Elliott, a groundbreaking single-take motion-control production. Across three decades he has directed and edited work for artists including Prince, Alicia Keys, Metallica, Pink Floyd, Avicii, and Dave Matthews Band; shaped landmark reality series for MTV and Bravo; and crafted sports documentaries across the worlds of surfing, snowboarding, and skateboarding, including "Titans of Mavericks" and World Surf League broadcasts. In 2023 he won the Emmy Award for directing and editing the PBS special "Still Playin' Possum: Music and Memories of George Jones."

Today, Richter translates that experience, blocking, coverage, performance, and rhythm into the new world of AI filmmaking, directing generative productions frame by frame with the same standards he brought to every stage, set, and edit bay of his career.
