Jean Richepin was born on 4 February 1849 in Médéa, Algeria. He was a writer and actor, known for Le chemineau (1917), The Siren (1913) and Le chemineau (1935). He was married to Marie Emmanuele de Stempowska and Eugénie Constant. He died on 12 December 1926 in Paris, France.
