Tonjha Richardson a mixed race Canadian actor or Irish decent and African American heritage with over two decades of experience in film and television.
Growing up in Scarborough, Canada with Irish decent and African American heritage, she met her African American Father and family at 18, and embracing her heritage, began a journey to sobriety in 2013 to present day has been transformative.
In 2017, her deep-seated passion for storytelling, she created and performed a 7-minute solo piece "Confessions of a Mixed Chick’ at the Red Sandcastle Theatre in Toronto thorough Soulo Theatre. This pivotal moment ignited a newfound commitment exploring and expressing the complexities of her identity.
Transitioning into screenwriting, she crafted "Confessions of a Mixed Chick" into a television comedy series synopsis in 2022 which was optioned by RVK Productions in 2023 and is in development. That venture marked her expansion into producing with the aim of creating diverse narratives that educate and resonate with audiences.
Richardson Entertainment Productions, founded with a vision for social change, is dedicating to creating spaces that empower and amplify marginalized voices in Canadian society. As an emerging producer, she is excited to contribute meaningfully to Canadian artistic landscape.
