John J. Richardson was born on November 1, 1888 in London, England, UK. He was an actor, known for The Three Must-Get-Theres (1922), A Small Town Idol (1921) and Melting Millions (1927). He was married to Mabel Richardson. He died on January 24, 1942 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

His wife Mabel, who had uncredited roles as an extra in many films of the silent era, is believed to be the longest-lived Hollywood actor, having died in 2001 at the age of 110.

His infant son was used in the original silent version of The Ten Commandments (1923), and both he and his wife Mabel had uncredited parts as extras in the film.

His credits are frequently confused with those of Jack Richardson.

Played dozens of uncredited bit parts at Warner Brothers from 1935 until his death.
