Biography

Robert L. Richards was born on March 1, 1909 in New York City, New York, USA. He was a writer, known for Winchester '73 (1950), The Last Crooked Mile (1946) and Johnny Stool Pigeon (1949). He was married to Ann Roth Morgan. He died in June 1984 in Mexico City, Mexico.

American author and screenwriter, born circa 1898. He was blacklisted during the McCarthy era because of his left-wing views and forced to write under a variety of pseudonyms. He eventually gave up writing to become a carpenter and retired to "Pátzcuaro, Mexico, where he died, still bitter about the career he had lost".
