B. Ruby Rich is known for Fabulous! The Story of Queer Cinema (2006), Dykes, Camera, Action! (2018) and Johnny Guitar: A Film Like No Other (2016).

In 2007, she received the Brudner Prize at Yale University.

She is a big fan of David Cronenberg.

She was a guest-critic on Roger Ebert and The Movies.
