Biography

Nora Ricci was born on July 19, 1924 in Viareggio, Tuscany, Italy. She was an actress, known for Death in Venice (1971), Anna Karenina (1974) and Nel mondo di Alice (1974). She was married to Vittorio Gassman. She died on April 16, 1976 in Rome, Lazio, Italy.

Daughter of actor Renzo Ricci and actress Margherita Bagni, mother of actress Paola Gassman, grandmother of assistant director Tommaso Pagliai.

In the fifties and the early sixties she was the partner of director Francesco Rosi. They had a daughter, Francesca, who tragically died when she was fifteen in a car accident, in which Francesco Rosi was seriously injured (on 18 January 1969, near Ferentino).
