Harry Revel was born on December 21, 1905 in London, England, UK. He was an actor and composer, known for Minstrel Man (1944), The Highwaymen (2019) and Election (1999). He died on November 3, 1958 in New York City, New York, USA.

Inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1970.

Graduate of the Guild Hall of Music in London.

Emigrated to the U.S. in 1929.

Often worked in collaboration with lyricists Mack Gordon, Mort Greene and Paul Francis Webster.
