A veteran character actor who is best known for his role as Chief O'Hara on the TV series Batman (1966). He became a rich man through a business partnership in a chain of car washes before his early and untimely death on November 5, 1974 at the age of 56.

He suffered a fatal heart attack on November 5, 1974 while at the Hollywood Park Racing Track. After his death, he was interred at Westminister Memorial Park in Westminister, California and his sister, a TV writer, established the Stafford Repp Memorial Scholarship for alumni of his alma mater, Lowell High School in San Francisco, California.

Started his acting career in the middle years of his life after his stint in World War II in the United States Army Air Corps.

An American character actor of 1950s Westerns and crime dramas who played many policemen during his career. Coincidentally, his brother was a policeman in real life.

Stafford Repp (Chief O'Hara), Adam West (Batman / Bruce Wayne), Burt Ward (Robin / Dick Grayson), Alan Napier (Alfred), and Neil Hamilton (Commissioner Gordon) were the only actors and characters to appear in all 120 episodes of the TV series Batman (1966). Only one non-actor also did this: its executive producer, William Dozier (the Narrator).
