- Teddy Reno was born on July 11, 1926 in Trieste, Italy. He is an actor and writer, known for Toto, Peppino, and the Hussy (1956), Violent Summer (1959) and The Comfort of Strangers (1990). He has been married to Rita Pavone since March 15, 1968. They have two children. He was previously married to Vania Protti Ricordi.

- When they fell in love, Rita and Teddy caused a scandal in the Italy of the 60's: he was 19 years her senior and already married in Mexico, and father of a baby boy. They finally married in a church in Lugano in 1968, and for the Italian law in 1971; they're still together.
- Reno made his debut on Radio Trieste during the Anglo-American administration of the city, launching the song "Eterno ritornello (Te vojo ben)". He later worked as a vocalist in the orchestra of Teddy Foster, with whom he toured across Europe and North Africa. In 1948, he founded one of Italy's first record companies, CGD (Compagnia Generale del Disco).
