Biography

Filip Renč was born on August 17, 1965 in Prague, Czechoslovakia. He is an actor and director, known for Rebels (2001), Hlidac c.47 (2008) and Requiem for a Maiden (1992).

His films are often loosely based on real events, which are changed in exploitative way with more black and white characters.

Son of Ivan Renč.

Brother of Veronika Helcelová.

He turned down offer to direct Head Over Heels (2014), eventually directed by Jan Hřebejk.
