Biography

Isabelle Renauld is a French actress who trained at the Cours Florent before joining the Nanterre-Amandiers acting school, where she studied under Patrice Chéreau from 1985 to 1987. She made her film debut in Operation Corned Beef (1991) and gained wider recognition with Catherine Breillat's Perfect Love (1996), for which she received the Prix Michel-Simon for Best Actress. She later worked with Theodoros Angelopoulos in Eternity and a Day (1998), which won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. Renauld also collaborated several times with directors François Dupeyron, Philippe Lioret, and Breillat, appearing in films including C'est quoi la vie? (1999), Monsieur Ibrahim (2003), The Officer's Ward (2001), and Don't Worry, I'm Fine (2006). Her television work includes the series Braquo (2009). In 2010, she was named a Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters.
