Biography

Calvin Remsberg was born on September 17, 1949 in Roanoke, Virginia, USA. He was an actor, known for Pretty Woman (1990), Shrek (2001) and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (1982). He died on January 29, 2022 in Rancho Mirage, California, USA.

Directed a Los Angeles production of Sweeney Todd starring Kelsey Grammer and Christine Baranski.

Began his career as an opera singer, appearing with the Boston, Washington, and Wolf Trap companies.

Has become a highly successful vocal instructor, teaching privately and in various Southern California-based colleges and workshops.

Education: (1) Bachelor Degree in English and Theatre Arts, College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, Virginia.
