Streaming Stars, Then and Now

Samir Rehem is a Canadian director with a proven track record of delivering bold, visually striking, and emotionally engaging stories across film and television. From award-winning comedies to gripping dramas and high-stakes thrillers, his work spans multiple genres, reflecting his versatility and keen storytelling instincts.

His breakout short film The Answer Key (2007) earned a Genie Award nomination, setting the stage for a directing career that has since included an extensive and diverse body of work. He has directed episodes of Chucky, The Chi, Coroner, The Guest Book, Skins, Killjoys, In the Dark, Private Eyes, Tiny Pretty Things, Degrassi, The Cleaning Lady, Transplant, Orphan Black: Echoes, and Revival, among many others.

Samir's work has earned him nominations for a Gemini Award, a Canadian Screen Award, a Directors Guild of Canada Award, and a Prism Prize, along with a Canadian Comedy Award win for Cock'd Gunns. A skilled director with an eye for both nuance and spectacle, he continues to bring compelling stories to life on screen.
