Edward Reekers was born on May 24, 1957 in Hengelo, Overijssel, Netherlands. He was an actor, known for Because of Him (1946), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005) and Pinky and the Brain (1995). He died on October 7, 2025 in Soest, Utrecht, Netherlands.

Singing voice of the Dutch 'Merci' commercials since the 1980s.

Performed the Dutch dubbed theme songs of the television series "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo" and "What's New Scooby-Doo?". Other Scooby-Doo singers include Jody Pijper and Tony Neef.

Edward Reekers has released four solo albums. He was joined on his first album by former Kayak members Max Werner and Johan Slager. Solo singles have been released in English, German, and Dutch.

Edward Reekers was a Dutch singer, dialogue director and voice actor.

Reekers was the lead singer of the pop group Kayak from 1978 until their breakup in 1982. He was also the lead singer of Kayak's biggest single success, Ruthless Queen from the album Phantom of the Night.
