Evanthia Reboutsika

Evanthia Reboutsika is a Greek violinist and composer whose work has bridged classical performance, film music, and contemporary Greek composition. After beginning violin studies in childhood, she continued her musical education at the Patras Conservatory, the Athens Conservatory, the Hellenic Conservatory, and the École Normale de Musique in Paris. Early in her career, she performed with the Reboutsika siblings' string quartet, touring in Greece and abroad, before returning to Greece to pursue a professional career as both a performer and composer. She has collaborated with many of Greece's leading composers and singers, while also performing with the Greek Radio Symphony Orchestra and Ert Contemporary Music Orchestra. As a violinist, she participated in concerts including presentations of Mikis Theodorakis' "Axion Esti" and Dimos Moutsis' concert at the Lycabettus Theatre. Reboutsika later established herself as one of Greece's most acclaimed film composers, creating award-winning scores distinguished by their lyrical melodies and strong emotional character. Her music for cinema and television has received international recognition and has become closely associated with some of the most celebrated productions in Greek film.
