Biography

Raphael Ravenscroft was born on June 4, 1954 in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England, UK. He was a composer and actor, known for Hustle (2022), Double X: The Name of the Game (1992) and Crossroads (1964). He was married to Siobhan C Cunningham. He died on October 19, 2014 in Exeter, Devon, England, UK.

Played the saxophone on Gerry Rafferty's song "Baker Street".

He worked with Pink Floyd, Abba, and Marvin Gaye. Later in life, he worked as a session musician for Daft Punk and Duffy.

In 1990 he published a successful instruction book, "The Complete Saxophone Player". He was a music tutor at York College.

No relation to Thurl Ravenscroft, despite a popular misconception.
