Lori Ravensborg

Lori Ravensborg is full time faculty and the coordinator of the 2 year program Acting for Film and Digital Media at Niagara College, School of Media. She teaches various acting courses, and acts as executive producer of the graduate capstone demo projects in year 2 of the program. She is an actor, writer, producer, director and a musician. In the last 25 years, she has taught and facilitated acting across Canada from Alberta to Ontario. She was part time at Toronto Film School (2015-2016) as well as for the Advanced Television and Film- Script to Screen program at Centennial College in Toronto (2016). Lori is a graduate of the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in New York in the early 90''s where she trained in Meisner Technique. She relocated to the greater Toronto area from Alberta in 2015. Her own short film "The Long Road" (Wrote, Produced and Directed) enjoyed some positive feedback screening at Oceanside International Film Festival 2012, won a Rising Star Award at the Canada International Film Festival 2013 in Vancouver as well as being nominated for an Alberta Rosie (AMPIA award) in 2013 for Best Drama under 30 minutes. She is a longstanding member of Equity, ACTRA and Women in Film and Television (Alberta and Toronto chapters).
