Educated at Cambridge University, she left with a B Ed Degree in Drama. Since then, she appeared extensively in theatre and television. She directed the 1981 revue 'The Cellar Tapes' with Emma Thompson, Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie. During the 80's and early 90's, she established herself on television in Carrot's Lib, Spitting Image, The Kenny Everett Show, The Lenny Henry Show and two series of Alexi Sayle's Stuff. In 1994, Michael Attenborough of the RSC asked her to play the lead in the new play Pentacost, which won three Best Play of the Year Awards. La Passione marks her screen debut. In addition to her wok she is the mother of two sons.

Studied at Cambridge University in England, UK While there, she became
a member of the prestigious Cambridge University Footlights Club - and,
later, became President of the Footlights Club.
