Iain Rattray is known for Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson (1979), Wish Me Luck (1987) and Jenny's War (1985).

Has kept the script of Doctor Who: State of Decay. The producers of the DVD consulted him about the script.

Played guest in Royal Flash (1975) but he was among 20 performers who had their roles deleted from the final print.
