Biography

Nimer Rashed is an award-winning director who recently finished directing three episodes of Harlan Coben's Fool Me Once for Netflix / Quay Street Productions.

His career in drama started as a child actor, when he worked across TV, film and theatre. He went on to write for stage and screen, winning the Sir Peter Ustinov Television Scriptwriting Award at the International Emmy Awards.

After his first short film Baghdad Express featuring Riz Ahmed played at festivals worldwide, he went on to win the UK's biggest short film competition, the Virgin Media Shorts Grand Prize (awarded by Shane Meadows and judged by David Tennant).

Training on the BBC TV Directors Academy led to work directing shows such as Casualty and Eastenders for the BBC, as well as The Good Karma Hospital for Tiger Aspect / ITV and Miss Scarlet and the Duke for PBS Masterpiece / Alibi.

Nimer is a member of BAFTA and Directors UK, and is represented by Jack Thomas at Independent Talent.
