Biography

Per Ragnar was born on May 29, 1941 in Kalmar, Kalmar län, Sweden. He is an actor and producer, known for Let the Right One In (2008), The Best of Intentions (2014) and Faust 2.0 (2014). He was previously married to Veronica Ragnar (née Tigerhjärta).

Is also a noted author in his native Sweden and has published several books on religious and philosophical topics; among others, a book on Martin Luther's Christian ideas and religious philosophy.

Has successfully portrayed Hitler for over a decade on stage in his own written monologue play based on the German dictator's s.c "table talk" conversations and statements.

Often portrays villains and psychos on film and TV.

Worked for a number of years as director's assistant to Ingmar Bergman on several of his stage productions at Dramaten, a.o. on his legendary 1966 stage production of the Peter Weiss play "The Investigation".

A graduate from Dramatens elevskola (Royal Dramatic Theatre's acting school) in Stockholm, where he trained acting 1962-1965.
