Biography

Michael Raeburn was born on January 22, 1943 in Cairo, Egypt. He is a director and writer, known for Jit (1990), The Grass Is Singing (1981) and Triomf (2008).

Studied at Alfred Beit School and St. Georges School in Rhodesia.

Studied at the University of Rhodesia in 1964.

French Honours Degree, London University. Doctorial thesis on cinema, University of Aix en Provence.

Lives between Southern Africa, Paris and London.

Daughter Olivia Raeburn Chessell.
