- Gregor Rabinovitch was born on April 2, 1889 in Kyiv, Kyiv Governorate, Russian Empire [now Kyiv, Ukraine]. He was a producer, known for Looping the Loop (1928), Mein Herz ruft nach dir (1934) and Tout pour l'amour (1933). He died on November 12, 1953 in Munich, Bavaria, Germany.
- The producer Gregor Rabinovitch (also Gregor Rabinowitsch) grew up in Russia but emigrated to France in the 20s. There he began his film career and he produced first successful movies like "Le prince charmant" (1925), and "Michel Strogoff" (1926).
- He emigrated following the Nazi takeover of power in 1933, and spent a number of years in exile in France and the United States. He later returned and died in Munich in 1953.
- He went to Germany where he became a popular producer till 1935.
- He first worked for the Ufa where he often cooperated with Arnold Pressburger. When their work became more difficult at the Ufa because of the pressure of the National Socialists - Pressburger was a Jew and Rabinovitch even a Jew and a Russian - they founded together the production company "Cine-Allianz Tonfilm GmbH" in 1932. Finally the company of Rabinovitch and Pressburger was liquidated by the National Socialists. Gregor Rabinovitch returned to France where he was able to produce again some movies, among them "Le quai des brumes" (1938), "Gibraltar" (1938), "Sans lendemain" (1939) and "L'enfer des anges" (1941).
