- Won Broadway's 1972 Tony Award as author of Best Play winner "Sticks and Bones". He was also nominated three times as author of a Best Play nominee: in 1974 for "Boom Boom Room," in 1977 for "Streamers" and in 1985 for "Hurlyburly."
