His father, Adolfo, Sr., was Puerto Rican while his mother, Ruth McDaniel, was African-American with roots in Mississippi.

Was crowned "Hip Hops first matinee idol", by Dance Magazine because of box office hits like "Breakin'", and Breakin II Electric Boogaloo".

Once used "Sir Lance-a-Lock, as his dance name.

Has one daughter and one son.

He choreographed and appeared in Lionel Richie's video "All Night Long".

Taught actor/choreographer Darrin Dewitt Henson of Soul Food (2000) fame how to "Lock".

Part of the Dance group called The Lockers in the 1970s, which featured Fred "Rerun" Berry

Is co-producing with actor / director Eli Harris as well as reprising his role as "Ozone", in the upcoming film Break'n Revolution. The original film name is Breakin', and was an 80s cult classic. (April 2006)
