Although she didn't achieve the same degree of notoriety as Traci Lords, Alexandria Quinn--like Lords, using fake ID--began making adult movies at age 17 (Lords was 15 when she started). When this was discovered, many of the films in which Quinn had performed had to be pulled from circulation and either scrapped or re-edited. She took a short hiatus from the adult-film business until she turned 18, at which time she re-entered the porn world.

She used false ID when she entered the porn business at 17 (18 being the legal age). When she turned 18 she gave herself a present of a new car, using her real ID. The car salesman--who happened to be a fan of hers--called the police because he thought she was using phony identification. It was during the police investigation that it was discovered the ID she was using to buy the car was real but the ID she had used to secure employment in the porn industry was fake.
