Had six children by husband Arthur: daughters Judy Sims (died in 2005) and TC Goble (formerly Theresa Goehner) and sons Martin, Paul, Andre, and Patrick.

After raising a large family, she returned to work after her children were grown to join the staff at the Petroleum Club of Los Angeles. She eventually became Corporate Secretary and the first woman ever to serve on its Board of Directors.
