- Markus Maria Profitlich is a German comedian, actor, and voice actor, best known for his work on the sketch comedy show "Die Wochenshow" (1999-2001) and his own program, "Mensch Markus" (2002-2007). In "Die Wochenshow," he portrayed characters like the "Erklärbär" (Explaining Bear) and the shy reporter Peter Wuttke. He also provided the German voice for Bob Parr/Mr. Incredible in Pixar's "The Incredibles" films.
Beyond television, Profitlich has performed in various stand-up programs and theater productions. He is married to actress Ingrid Einfeldt, his stage partner in "Mensch Markus," and they have two children. In April 2018, Profitlich publicly announced his diagnosis of Parkinson's disease.
