- Marianne Prenzel was born on January 31, 1926 in Langenbielau, Lower Silesia, Germany [now Bielawa, Dolnoslaskie, Poland]. She is an actress, known for Singin' in the Rain (1952), Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (1988) and Mrs. Cheney's Ende (1965).
- Trained at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin. She made her stage debut in 1947 alongside Käthe Dorsch in Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's 'Stella auf der Bühne'.
- Studied acting under Gerda Müller and Agnes Windeck in Berlin.
- Provided the German dubbing voice for, among others, Corinne Calvet, Joanne Dru, Mitzi Gaynor, Piper Laurie, Elsa Lanchester, Joan Greenwood, Pat Crowley, Nanette Newman, Debbie Reynolds, Tippi Hedren, Sheila Hancock and Barbara Rush.
