  • Ian Power's career began as a writer and director of a number of award winning short films.

    His first film 'Buskers' swept the board at National and International Film Festivals, was Nominated for a Turner Classic Short Award at the BFI, and set a record viewership for on short film on Sky Movies.

    His first feature film, 'The Runway', is an award winning comedy drama starring Demián Bichir and Kerry Condon, which premiered at Director's Guild of Amercia in LA and won Best Irish Feature at the Galway Film Fleadh.

    'The Runway' won multiple international awards, was named 'Best of Fest' at the Palm Springs Film Festival, and was distributed theatrically in the US and around the world.

    Recently Ian wrote and directed 'The Tattoo', which won Best Irish Short at the Fastnet Film Festival and the Light in Motion Award at the Foyle Film Festival. 'The Tattoo' subsequently picked up Best Short Film prizes around the world.

    He's also an award-winning Commercials Director. His debut commercial was featured internationally in Shots and won an ICAD for Best Direction. Since then his commercials have won multiple awards with iconic campaigns for clients like Three, ESB, FBD, and An Post.

    As a director he's driven by unique characters and original stories. His work is propelled by empathy, emotion, and an understanding of acting craft.
