Bohdan Poreba was born on 5 April 1934 in Wilno, Wilenskie, Poland [now Vilnius, Lithuania]. He was a director and writer, known for Gdzie woda czysta i trawa zielona (1977), Lunatycy (1960) and Siwa legenda (1991). He was married to Lucyna Jakubiak. He died on 25 January 2014 in Warsaw, Mazowieckie, Poland.
