Biography

Dennis Poore is the composer of a wide variety of music from European dance hits like "Strange Desire" and "Young Men" to the Julie Brown cult favorites "Cause I'm A Blond" and "Brand New Girl" from the film Earth Girls Are Easy. Dennis worked with Julie Brown in 2011 to produce her album, Smell the Glamour, and they are currently working together on the stage musical version of Earth Girls Are Easy.

Dennis has been nominated for a Clio for his Chase-Manhattan Bank jingle and has penned compositions for TV including Disney's Zack & Cody and America's Most Wanted on Fox. He has worked with such talent as Liza Minelli, Goldie Hawn, Joe Cocker, Ren Woods, and performance artist Pauletta Pearson. More recently, Dennis has composed multiple episode scores for the TV Mini-Series Crazy In Love.

Dennis' film score credits included such diverse titles as the action film Maximum Breakout, the suspense thriller Lyla Wolf, the classic horror All Hallows Eve and an adolescent pop score for the short film, Powerpuff Girls: Long Way Back.

In the musical theater arena, he was the composer for the musicals An American Cantata, which had runs in New York and Los Angeles, The Tennessee Williams Cabaret in Los Angeles, Wild Dust: The Musical, which ran in New Jersey, Florida, and Los Angeles, and The Argonauts, which opened this summer in Florida. He is also the co-founder of Showdown Stage Company of Santa Clarita.
